EPAAC Presented at High Level Conference on EU Health Programmes: Results and Perspectives, BRUSSELS, 3 May 2012 PDF Print E-mail

EPAAC is proud to have been invited to present at the High Level Conference on EU Health programmes: Results and Perspectives organized jointly by the European Commission's Directorate-General for Health and Consumers and its Executive Agency on 3 May 2012 in Brussels.


More than 700 participants registered for the event, including key actors from the health sector, NGOs, Member States and European institutions, health programme beneficiaries, scientists and academics participating in the Health Programme. On this occasion, Marija Seljak, director of National Institute of Public Health, presented the European Partnership for Action Against Cancer, which was invited as an example of a best practice in the field.

EPAAC to Present at Media Seminar for EU Health Prize for Journalists 2011 PDF Print E-mail

A large number of journalists across the EU are expected to attend the Media Seminar. On this occasion, Dr. Tit Albreht, Leader of the National Cancer Plans Work Package, will present EPAAC.

BerlinThe next Steering Committee meeting of the EPAAC Joint Action will convene on 21 March 2012 in Berlin. On 22 March, there will be a meeting of the representatives of the Ministries of Health participating in EPAAC, as well as representatives responsible for research in Member States; this is an intiative of  WP 8, Research.

altThe next MAC event will be on  29 November from 11:30 TO 14:30, at the European Parliament in Brussels, hosted by MEP Frieda Brepoels, and will be a special roundtable on "Briefing on the European Partnership for Action Against Cancer (EPAAC)".

The purpose of this meeting is to inform and update on the progress of EPAAC (www.epaac.eu) and its main technical work packages, by the European Commission, Slovenian coordinators, and Work Package Leaders, in order to exchange ideas on how policymakers at the national and regional levels can help implement EPAAC's aims.

Conference on European Standards of Care for Children with Cancer PDF Print E-mail

The Conference on European Standards of Care for Children with Cancer took place in Warsaw on 20-21 October 2011. This conference is a part of the EPAAC WP 7, Healthcare and was organised by the European Society for Paedeatric Oncology (SIOP) and the Polish Ministry of Health. This workshop was organised in order to disseminate the 'Standards of Care for Children with Cancer' document created by a multi-disciplinary team of experts across Europe.
