Equity in Access: Promoting a Cervical Cancer Prevetion Strategy Print

The European Institute of Women's Health organised a Roundtable to celebrate and support the European Week against Cancer. The Roundtable was held in the European Parliament on 6 June 2012.

The Roundtable focused on the need for a multi-pronged European cervical cancer prevention strategy that includes screening as well as vaccination and reaches out to women, including disadvantaged and hard to reach groups. Cervical cancer is a prominent example of existing health inequalities as not all women across the EU 27 are benefitting from best practice of cervical cancer prevention.

We are pleased to present the Report and Recommendations of the Meeting.
